![]() Louise has been a professional performer and choreographer for over 14 years. She studied at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, graduating with a degree in performing arts and during her final year she toured the UK with dance company Verve and later became a founder member of the Aura Dance Company. Louise played Tantomile and Demeter understudying Rumpleteaser and Bombalurina in the recent international tour of “Cats”. She was cast in the UK tour of “Beauty and the Beast” performing many roles but particularly playing and understudying the lead Belle. Prior to this her career took her to Germany where she stayed for three years in the hit musical “Starlight Express” (Bochum). Initially performing as a swing before taking over the role of Dinah as well as understudying and playing the lead role, Pearl. Other works includes professional Pantomimes, cruises, and gala performances. Commercially, Louise has performed in many capacities, as Choreographer, dancer, Illusionist Assistant and skater, as well as with a variety of live bands. Her Television credits include the “Hollands Pies” commercial and playing Mrs Perkins in “Casualty 1909” for the BBC, “The Big Stage” (LWT and channel 5) and “The Patrick Linder Show” (ZDF Germany). CD recordings include: “Through My Eyes” (Lothair Eaton) and “Starlight Express - New Songs” ( Really Useful Group, 2003). Louise is also an experienced teacher and workshop leader. She regularly teaches for Stage Coach Theatre Arts and has been a guest teacher at many professional colleges. Louise was recently involved with The Urmston Musical Theatre as the Choreographer for their production of Beauty and the Beast after playing the role of "Annie" for the same society in 1986. It was a great experience which helped to kick start her passion and determination for a career in the performing arts. |
