David Reeves (Emile De Beque) was true to character and sang well. The comedy of the piece came from Margaret Johnson (Bloody Mary) and Graham (How am I doing) Dey. In comedy, it should be the character that finds it funny and not the actor - in both their cases this was so.
The Poolside Theatre has poor stage facilities and the director was not sympathetic to the challenge that the stage manager faced ,setting and striking the many company street scenes. In saying that the SM. and his crew coped admirably.
This was a fun show which proves that this musical. classic still stands on it's own
