The festive season is always extended by the production of pantomimes running well into the new year. Most people treat pantomime with disrespect. "Oh, it's only a pantomime - it'll do!" Let me remind you that pantomime is the cousin of drama.

The director of this pantomime did not have any concept of this specialised art form, therefore the potential of the society was never fully realised. In this unimaginative production, the enjoyment for the audience came from the hardworking cast.

Ann Robinson was a dashing Robin Hood with all the true stance and vocal ability of a good principal boy.

The comedy was in the capable hands of our own "Gert and Daisy" alias Pam Snape and Val Bacon. Margaret Johnson as Dame Martha Trott adding to the comedy.

The music was supplied by the Sweet Rhythm Band who were superb. A special mention must be made of the fabulous trumpet player.
