This was the first production we saw this season and a very good start it was indeed. The house was full of children and adults of all ages.

There was a good pantomime atmosphere. Ann Robinson (Dick) and Christine Perry (Alice) made a very charming couple. They looked good and sang well. A special mention for an outstanding and very agile Tommy the Cat (Rachel Robinson).

There was a lot of pantomime business from John Partridge as Dame Sarah, the cook. King Rat (Anita Partridge) was suitably evil. Val Bacon and Pam Snape as Captain Seaweed and Mr. Shrimp entertained us with their very own special touch of comedy.

All this was sewn up in a tight production with excellent choreography. A very pleasing evening.
